The following is what I have gathered from watching the opening of the documentary “TYSON” which was directed by Jason Toback.
Narrative structure
• Theme music (non diagetic)
• Location is in his apartment. This shows that he is upper middle class (lost most of his money but still well-off)
• Location is on a beach. Shows the sun setting which could mean that his career has set. It also shows that he is reflecting on his life.
• We see waves which show that he is unpredictable like the waves, once he may be calm but the next minute he may explode in rage.
Editing
We often see split screens where they show two different angles of the same clip. This is very clever as this represents Mike Tyson’s mind set. This also could mean that he has split personality
